10.or had only one smartphone out in 2018 and the company has also released one phone in 2019. It is called 10.or G2. The one before this phone was 10.or G which was released in 2017. This phone comes packed with good features in all departments. But it doesn’t run on the latest operating system. Let’s find out below the strength and weakness of this mobile device. This phone berths in the month of July 2019.
Design and Display of 10.or G2
This phone comes in black, twilight blue, black charcoal, giving buyers the opportunity to have different choices of colors. As far as I can see, it is not a waterproof phone. Does it have a fingerprint sensor? Come along and see.
Display features of 10.or G2 is IPS LCD technology, capacitive touchscreen with multi-touch feature. Screen size in this device is 6.18 inches with 1080 x 2246 display resolution, which is close the highest in the industry. Display reproductive colors are 16 million and there is no secondary display at all. Going further, pixel density is 403 ppi. Aspect ratio is 19:9.
10.or G2 has cameras that are good enough. There are three of them; two to the rear and two to the front. At the rear there are 16 MP and 5 MP lenses. Think of features like 4K video recording, beauty & bokeh mode, LED flash, digital zoom, HDR, auto flash, face detection, touch to focus, and more. At the front for selfies there is a single 12 MP lens which even surpasses expectations. The camera is fortified with LED flash. Of course, you can expect other nice features from this department as the need may be.
Hardware and Software
10.or G2 comes with Android OS v8.1 Oreo which to me is a disgrace for a phone delivered in July 2019. It is better at the processor which is Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset, with 64-bit architecture, and the GPU for graphics is Qualcomm Adreno 509. The numbers of cores are 8 Octa core. Except for the OS, the performance department is good.
Storage Capacity and Sensors
Things are good here with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It is possible to increase these to 256GB with an external microSD card. There’s no memory card slot to boost storage further. However, on the other side, the sensors in this 10.or G2 device are fingerprint, proximity, light, and accelerometer. So you see, this is a smartphone that can be secured with fingerprint sensor positioned at the back of the phone.
Network and Connectivity
For this 10.or G2, it is amazing to note that the smartphone works with the following technologies: GSM, CDMA, and LTE. All these manifest varying degrees of speed while surfing the net. Also, it makes use of two nano SIM cards to carry out connectivity operations. Other network connectivity components are Wi-Fi, hotspot, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, A-GPS, FM radio, USB Type-C, headphone jack and other components. However, there is not NFC or infrared herein.
- Good display resolution
- Large screen for superb video viewing
- Triple selfie cameras
- Massive memory space
- Powerful battery
- Dated OS
- No NFC, waterproof tech, HDMI, infrared
Powering the chipset of 10.or G2 is a non-removable Li-Ion 5000 mAh battery. This phone lacks wireless charging but has fast charging options. It is good enough and can last for more than two days from a full charge point. Talk time and video playback time are not known, but the phone surely offers a good stretch here.
Price and Availability
The price of 10.or G2 is approximately $215. That’s good pricing because it still falls among the budget phones. I can’t assure you will get it for that price when you scour online or offline. But for availability, this smartphone is readily available and has been released and is already in the hands of users since July 2019.
