The Doogee T6 Pro is Doogee’s response to the growing number of smartphones with an astounding battery capacity now in the market. With a massive 6250mAh battery, this device should last long enough for your daily needs especially for a power user like I am.
Over the past few years, we have witnessed many Chinese smartphone manufacturers releasing phones with “monstrous” battery capacity. The Doogee T6 Pro is no different from the many others in this category.
Design and display
Coming in a stylishly designed package, the T6 Pro from Doogee is a truly nice design that speaks of the aesthetic nature of Doogee. As you’d expect from a device with a large battery, the Doogee T6 Pro is really heavy at approximately 228 grams. This phone comes in a candy bar form factor as most other phones from the manufacturer. The Doogee T6 Pro is great on the hands with a cool metal feel.
For the display there is a 5.5 inch HD display with a pixel count of 16 million pixels. Pixel density stands at 267PPI for the T6 Pro. Although a Full HD display should have been better on this device, but the 720p should be enough for most users.
Memory and Storage
The Doogee T6 Pro comes with 3 gigs of RAM which should be more than enough for running most of your applications – at least on paper. The RAM size in combination with the fast processor (will get to this in a moment) is enough for heavy gamers as you’d hardly experience any lags on it.
There is also a large 32GB of internal storage bundled with the T6 Pro. This storage space should be enough for storing most of your multimedia files and applications. You can expand on this storage if the 32GB isn’t enough for you via a microSD card.
Processor and OS
Under the hood is a MediaTek MT6753 octa core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. This 64-bit CPU is capable of delivering an ultra fast user experience in addition to the RAM. The MT6753 used here is also great at power management giving you more time to use the phone.
The Doogee T6 Pro runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. The phone supports the HotKnot technology as well as OTG and can be used for reverse charging i.e as a power bank to charge your other devices.
Since most devices with similar features focus more on the battery one may begin to ask, does it mean that you’ll have to trade camera quality for battery capacity? Doogee responded well here as they included a 13MP back camera with auto-focus and a 5MP (SW 8MP) sensor at the front for taking selfies.
The T6 Pro also comes with a dedicated camera app with several customization options. But you shouldn’t rely on the app as there are better alternatives.
This is the MSP (major selling point) of the Doogee T6 Pro. It’s not every day that one finds a smartphone with a 6250mAh battery. The manufacturer claims that with this battery capacity, you can use the phone for approximately 3 days on a single complete charge (that’s if you are using it lightly). However, if you decide to use it for tasks like heavy gaming, viewing Full HD videos, and Internet surfing, you can get a maximum of 2 days.

- 1.5GHz octa core processor

One thing about Chinese manufacturers and their phones is their affordability. The Doogee T6 Pro doesn’t disappoint here either. With a large battery capacity that can last up to 3 days without charging, you may consider buying this device. However, the weight may be a drawback to some users as it’s pretty heavy.
