ASUS has followed up the Pegasus 4S which became the first ASUS smartphone to sport the 18:9 display by unveiling a new smartphone which will continue in that trend. The  ASUS Zenfone Max Plus M1 was announced recently with specifications and features listed on the russian page of ASUS website. Apart from the full display the smartphone sports, there is also a massive battery which has now become commonplace on ASUS smartphones.

Display

The Zenfone Max Plus M1 features a 5.7-inch FHD+ (2160 * 1080 pixels) LCD display with protective glass on top. The screen sports an 18:9 aspect ratio making it ASUS second offering to sport the full display. With 424ppi of pixel density on offer, the screen produces bright and easily distinguishable images.

Design

The device sports a metal unibody design that comes in three amazing colours of Black, Silver and Gold. With the waist-line largely reduced, the device is more comfortble when handle and ultimately the user can easily wrap his hands around it. The Zenfone Max Plus M1 comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Storage & Processor

The Zenfone Max Plus M1 is powered by a MediaTek MT6750T processor with eight cores at 1.5GHz of clock speed which combines with along with Mali T860 MP2 GPU. The . The device comes with 3GB of RAM and a 32GB built-in storage for files and documents. There is as much as 256GB of MicroSD support as well, incase the internal storage is used up.

Camera

The smartphone sports 16MP and 8MP shooters on the rear with LED flash for added brightness in dark backgrounds. The 16MP sensor serves for normal photography while the 8MP shooter thrives best for landscape or group photos thanks to its 120-degree wide-angle lens.

The front camera is an 8MP selfie shooter that does exactly what it is asked to do, even making it more colorful and flawless when the portrait enhancement function is used.

Battery & Connectivity

The Zenfone Max Plus M1 carries a long-lasting 4130mAh battery further enhancing ASUS reputation as a go-to for smartphones with large batteries. The powerhouse should give a decent return of 26days on standby, 26hours on mobile calls and as much as 13hours on videos.

Connectivity options include; Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS+A-GPS+GLONASS, microUSB 2.0, fingerprint sensor, 4G LTE.

Software

The smartphone will run on ASUS ZenUI 4.0 based on Android Nougat 7.0 with pre-installed apps like Game Genie, ZenMotion, Audio Wizard et al for a more immersive user experience.
