Being a lower mid-range smartphone means you don’t get to have a sophisticated design. The Asus Zenfone Max Pro and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro comes in a front glass, with a mixture of aluminum and plastic at their back. They both have a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. There’s isn’t much difference in display between the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and Asus Zenfone Max Pro. They both feature a 5.99 inch IPS LCD touchscreen with an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. The Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with a 403 PPI density. While the Zenfone Max Pro has a 402 PPI density. The display of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is protected by Corning Gorilla glass (unspecified version).

The Zenfone Max Pro runs on pure stock Android 8.1 Oreo, which means it will receive Google’s next two software; Android P and Q. Running on stock Android software means the smartphones will be free from bloatware.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro runs on MiUI 9.0 skin with Android 7.1.2 Nougat. The Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with an internal storage of 64GB and two variants of memory; 4GB and 6GB. While the Asus Zenfone comes in two variants of internal storage. The 32GB storage with 3GB memory and the 64GB storage with 4GB or 6GB memory.
