Asus has announced the release of the Asus Zenpad Z8 tablet which is exclusively mean’t for United State’s telecoms operator – Verizon.

The device had earlier been leaked not too long ago and now is out in the market, also coming just barely days after Asus unveiled the Zenfone Pegasus 3.

Commenting on the new ZenPad, Benson Lin, corporate vice president and general manager for mobile communications, ASUS, had this to say:

The Asus Zenpad Z8 has a 7.9-inch IPS display with 178-degree viewing angle. The display sports a  high resolution of 2048×1536 pixels. The beautiful tablet is powered by an Hexa-Core Snapdragon 650 (4x 1.4GHz ARM A53 + 2 x 1.8 GHz ARM A72) 64-bit processor with Adreno 510 GPU

The beautiful Zenpad Z8 runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box modified with Asus’s own ZenUI running the user interface.

 In the camera unit, the Asus Zenpad Z8 crams an 8-megapixel rear camera unit without LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
Also, the device packs a massive 4680mAh Li-Ion battery which is quite impressive.

Price of the Asus Zenpad Z8 in US, Nigeria, India & Kenya

The Asus ZenPad Z8, which comes in Black color, is priced at $249.99 in the US (Rs. 16,825 in India) and will be available through Verizon retail stores in the US starting June 23rd. It will also be available on contract at $10.41 per month for 24 months.

The phone has not been tipped to become available to other mobile carriers in the US or around the world. However, if it peradventure ships to Nigeria, the device will be available online from Nigeria’s retail online shops (Jumia and Konga) and may carry a price tag of N70,000 – N100,000 in Nigeria.
