CAT phones at the IFA 2017 event unveiled two of its rugged smartphones alongside a Windows 10 tablet. The CAT Caterpillar T20 rugged Windows 10 tablet is the first of its kind from the mobile company designed specially to last long and endure harsh conditions. It packs a long-lasting 7500mAh battery to power up its operations.
CAT Caterpillar T20 Specifications, Review and Highlights
The Caterpillar T20 tablet features an 8-inch IPS LCD display with auto wet finger and glove support. It offers a 1200 by 800 pixels resolution and ~189ppi of pixel density. Corning Gorilla Glass is laid unto the screen to offer scratch resistance and protection against drops.
The CAT Caterpillar T20 is made from polycarbonate which enhances its dust, water, vibration and drop proof abilities. The tablet can withstand falls from up to 1.8m and can last up to 30minutes in water as deep as 1m. The device measures 143 by 220 by 14mm in dimensions and weighs a heavy 650g.
Storage & Processor
The tablet will be powered by a Quad-Core Intel Atom Z8350 with Intel HD Graphics 400 to handle graphics. The T20 tablet comes with 2GB of RAM and an internal storage of 64GB.
The Caterpillar T20 tablet sports a 5MP rear camera with 2MP front camera to compliment.
Battery & Connectivity
It carries a mammoth 7500mAh non-removable battery. Users will have to wait so long to get the tablet to full charge. Connectivity options include; Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS, USB 3.0, HDMI support.
Availability and Price of Caterpillar T20 in India & Europe
The CAT Caterpillar T20 tablet will be available at 649 Euros in the European market, US$770 and Rs.49, 535 in the United States and India respectively. There is no information, however, as to when the CAT T20 will be available.
