Chinese brands smartphone manufacturers have grown at a great pace in the market. In Europe, they have huge popularity, something that has been reflected in the sales they have had last year. Since they already represent a third of the market. This is shown by a new analysis of Canalys, which has published the sales and market share of these brands in Europe.

This popularity also takes some victims as is the case of Samsung or Apple, which have lost ground in the market.

Chinese brands sell well

Both Huawei and Xiaomi have had a good year, being two of the most successful Chinese brands on the market last year. In the case of the first, it has had a market share of 23.6% in the last quarter of the year. While Xiaomi already has sales of 3.2 million in the European market. It represents a huge advance compared to the sales of the previous year, an increase of 62%.

On the other hand, we have brands such as Apple or Samsung, which fall in sales and lose some ground in the market. Koreans have fallen by 10% in the past year. While Apple saw its sales fell by 6% in the total of the year.

Undoubtedly, an interesting advance that Chinese brands have had in Europe. Samsung is presented as a clear competitor this year, determined to regain the throne in the market. But we will see what happens in the market this year.
