Cubot J7 Specs Review, Fullview Budget Smartphone

In May 2019, Cubot dropped a smartphone it called Cubot J7. This phone came with common features but this time arrived as an Android 9.0 Pie mobile device. It is a smartphone that has MediaTek at helms of performance. Although this Cubot J-series phone is an entry-level smartphone, it tries to satisfy all the desires of every fan by doing almost anything a smartphone can do.

Design and Display

This Cubot J7 is not a waterproof phone. It is designed with plastic and has a fingerprint option added to it. The dimensions are 70.7 x 147.8 x 8.85 mm. it comes with display protection. Colors are expected to be black, blue and green, varied enough for fans to make their choice.

At the display, Cubot J7 is IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen technology phone. The screen size is 5.7 inches and it arrives in 16 million colors. The resolution is 720 x 1400 pixels. The pixel density is 282 ppi, while the screen to body ratio is 80.5 percent but there is no secondary display in this phone. Aspect ratio is 18:9.

Camera Features

The rear camera setup reveals dual lens and the other is situated to the front. At the rear we find 13 MP. + 2 MP. The video performance is up to 720p. Other cool camera features in this device are HDR, auto focus, continuous Shooting, panorama, and others. Also, the front side has a selfie camera of 8 MP.

Hardware and Software

The Cubot J7 device comes with Android OS 9.0 Pie on a modified user interface that has been balanced with other features of the phone. Also note that the phone arrives with MediaTek MT6580 chipset with process technology 28nm. Furthermore, The CPU is ARM Cortex Cores 4. The GPU is ARM Mali 400.

Storage Capacity and Sensors

The storage of Cubot J7 is 2GB of RAM that can’t be expanded and also the internal storage is 16GB. The storage can also be boosted externally with a microSD card up to 128GB. On the other side, the sensors in this device are fingerprint, proximity, light, and accelerometer.

Network and Connectivity

Cubot J7 comes as a 4G Android smartphone, working with networks such as 2G, 3G, and 4G. Guaranteed is the GSM, WCDMA, and LTE enabled in this mobile device. The user can make use of nano SIMs in the phone. There are two spaces or slots for SIMs which means it is dual-SIM phone. Other network connectivity components found on the phone are Wi-Fi, hotspot, Bluetooth GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, USB 2.0 and other components.

Battery Power

Powering the Cubot J7 is a non-removable Li-Po 2800 mAh battery. This phone is not equipped with wireless charging and has no fast charging option available. Talk time and standby times are not specified. As small as it may seem, this battery is able to carry the user through at least a day of intense use.
