Cubot King Kong Mini Design
In one breath, this phone is rugged, not made of plastic, but made of polycarbonate. Is it made for kids? Yes, but not necessarily so. Anyone who loves a compact-designed smartphone that can easily fit into one’s palm or that can drop easily into a pocket, has found a thing. We love the multiple colors and the fact that the smartphone has three cameras; one to the front, two to the rear. It is water-resistant, coming in with an IP68 resistance certificate.
The King Kong Mini is a small phone, but the display features are good for it. Sixteen million display colors are enough to give the user a fantastic experience. The screen is diagonal, four inches large, while the display resolution is 540 x 1080. This is a low resolution but works better on a small display space.
Display features also reveal that the mobile smartphone also comes with 90 percent NTSC, but without a notch. However, the device has its own scratch-resistant technology. Spectacularly, one thing that makes the display a big success is the high density of 302 ppi.
The chipset found in here is MediaTek Helio A22 (MT6761). The CPU is ARM Cortex-A53, 2000 MHz, 4-Cores. Furthermore, the GPU which is for good graphics is PowerVR GE8300.
Many bigger devices come with lesser storage compared to Cubot King Kong Mini. Think about it, this smartphone comes as a 3 GB RAM phone. The internal storage area accommodates 32 GB of space. There’s also an independent SD slot made to increase storage capacity on the outer side.
Cubot King Kong Mini is empowered by a 2000 mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery that has fast charging features. Very commendable, for not many smartphones of this feature add the fast charging technology. The reason for a light battery is that this is a small phone. So, even though rugged phones are known to be heavy, this one breaks the rule.
Speaker and Call Quality
You can enjoy cool music with this smartphone. It is able to make use of Bluetooth earphones, speakers, and the speakers are waterproof. Moreover, Cubot King Kong Mini has a loudspeaker with active noise cancellation.
Software Features & Sensors
Surely, Cubot King Kong Mini is Android 9.0 Pie empowered. Expect it to upgrade to Android 10 soon. Furthermore, the sensors are an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, and compass. Too bad, no fingerprint technology is found here, no cooling system is found here either.
Camera, Video, and Image Quality
The dual camera is situated at the rear of the phone as 13 MP CMOS type with f/2.2 aperture and 2 MP. When you think of these, they come with autofocus, continuous shooting and other features such as Dual-LED flash, HDR, panorama, and others. Video performance in the smartphone is 1080p@30fps. The single selfie camera to the front is 8 MP.
Cubot King Kong Mini Price
Cubot King Kong Mini sells for $100.15. That’s about N36,200 and I can affirm that the price is not bad. The smartphone is still available and can be bought in multiple online stores. That price is reasonable.
Cubot King Kong Mini has good features and not-so-good features. One thing a user may not be able to stomach the fact that this phone doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor. Every other feature, although not excellent, mostly have at least one reason to praise the department. Not having a fingerprint sensor deals with the phone a somewhat disastrous blow.
