Cubot is an upcoming Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) that’s doing pretty well and released amazing devices in the past. DESIGN & DISPLAY
On first glance of the Cubot Magic smartphone, you can help but to first notice the curved edges on the front and back and likewise, the glowing body of the device. So compact and so soothing to hold and grip. Worth noting are the dual speaker grills at the bottom of the device. They give the best of audio quality; loudness and clarity. The device is available in Gold and Grey black colour options.
Beneath the 2.5D curved glass is a 5.0 inch IPS capacitive LCS touchscreen. The display is decent enough with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and 294 ppi pixel density which should provide the best of display experience either when watching a movie, or reading a book, or scrolling through your Facebook or Instagram page.
PROCESSOR, OS & STORAGE
Having a massive 3 GB of RAM running on a 1.3 GHz MediaTek Quad-core MT6737 processor, the Cubot Magic will give you the best of multitasking experience. Feel free to run your favourite apps and play your favourite games all at the same time.
Also running on the Android v7.0 Nougat, you would enjoy the inherent split-screen feature of the OS. A whole new level of multitasking on a budget smartphone. For storage expansion, there’s an SD card slot when you remove the back cover. The in-built storage space is 16 GB and can be expanded to 128 GB.
Following the leads of many other top OEMs is Cubot with the dual rear camera set-up feature on the Cubot Magic.
On this device, there is a main 13 MP camera and a supporting 2 MP camera sensor for proper subject focus. The Cubot Magic was designed for those that attach great importance to taking digital camera quality photos on their smartphones.
Moving to the front, there’s a single 5 MP camera which, like the rear camera, also enjoys flashlight support.
The Cubot Magic is kept up and running by a removable 2,600 mAh Lithium Ion battery. The device lacks quick charge but it shouldn’t take much time for the device to get to a 100% full charge as its battery capacity isn’t very large.

The Cubot Magic is a very affordable budget device. The smartphone currently costs $97.99 on GearBest. That’s approximately N35,000 in Nigerian currency. With caliber of specs it comes with, the price tag is really fair price to pay to enjoy them.
