The Doov A55 is now officially available in China as the company listed the smartphone with its specs, features and price. This is the first Doov smartphone with the trending notched screen.
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer is known for its affordable range if devices. The A55 which will be joining the A series is equipped with the iPhone X-like dual shooters. There’s 3GB RAM and 32GB storage space, lets find out more.
The A55 is the best looking Doov smartphone till date, the body was made completely from metal with a glass black. The glass at the back reflects light in the most stunning way. It had a rear fingerprint scanner and Face ID feature.
One of the highlights of the device is what is going on at the top left corner. The iPhone X-like dual shooters really brought some magic at the rear. When you turn over to the sides, it measures 8.19mm in thickness. It’s available in Phantom Black and Pearl White.
The first thing you would notice when you turn to the front is the trending notched screen. The notch is also very thick and massive than expected, same with the bottom bezel. I think this is the most thickest bottom chin on a notch display.
Nonetheless, it has a tall 5.85-inch HD+ capacitive touchscreen with notch. The screen has a resolution of 1512 x 720 pixels and 286 pixel per inch density for amazing visuals. The screen could only get to 77% screen-to-body ratio even with the notch.
Hardware and Software
Doing the job underneath is the MediaTek MT6739 chip which was built on an older 28nm process technology. There’s a quad-core processor which clocks at 1.3GHz as well, while the PowerVR GE8100 graphics processor is clocked at 570MHz.
There is a standard 3GB of RAM space available for all your light multitasking, the RAM has a memory speed of 667MHz. In the storage department, there is a 32GB storage space available and upgradeable up to 128GB using a memory card. The Doov A55 runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with YunOS 6.0.
The dual cameras consist of 13MP + 0.3MP shooters, with a LED flash in-between and ready to handle all your photography needs even in low light. There is a 5MP front camera on the notch for selfies with support for Face ID.
Powering the Doov A55 is a 2800mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with no fast charging technology. Without the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% might take up to 2.4 hours.
