Here is another 3G Android smartphone. The other one I wrote about earlier today is Wiko Sunny 4 Plus. In so many ways, this new Fly smartphone that has been released in July 2019 mirrors the Wiko device. As you must know, there is not much to this mobile device. So let us look at the areas where this Fly Life Geo smartphone comes better than its peers.
Design and Display of Fly Life Geo
Fly Life Geo is a plastic phone by design. It is bar shape and when you look at it, the dimensions are 139.3 x 69 x 10.2 mm, while the weight is 140 gram. Further, it is not a waterproof mobile device. Also, the protection features at the display is not something to boast of. It has both blue and black colors.
The display features of Fly Life Geo are TFT LCD technology, capacitive touchscreen. The screen size is 4.95 inches with 480 x 960 display resolution. Nothing to be proud of in that as well. Display colors are 16 million and there is no secondary display at all. Going further, pixel density is 201 ppi. Display protection includes 2.5D curved glass screen with full lamination technology.
Fly Life Geo has cameras that are of low quality as well. There are three of them; At the rear we find dual 8 MP and 0.3 MP. Also, the front side has a selfie camera of 8 MP, which is exact to the main camera features too. The cameras are fortified with LED flash. Of course, there are other features like digital zoom, HDR, panorama, anti flicker, time lapse, face detection, and more.
Hardware and Software
This Fly Life Geo device comes with Android OS v8.1 Oreo. In addition to that, there are hardware parameters that include Spreadtrum SC7731E chipset with a CPU frequency of Quad-core 1.3 GHz, and the GPU is ARM Mali-T820 MP1. Just what I think befits an entry level Android.
Storage Capacity and Sensors
The 1GB of RAM that is not able to increase no matter what, is also very much expected. To follow it up, there is the internal storage of 8GB and a memory card slot to boost storage further externally up to 64GB. On the other side, the sensors in this device are proximity, compass, and accelerometer.
Network and Connectivity
Sadly, Fly Life Geo is not a 4G Android smartphone. Kudos to smartphone manufacturers that still do this in the world is gravitating to 5G internet. Probably, they are looking for buyers without ambition. So, welcome to the world of snail-grinding speed in this Fly Life Geo. Other network connectivity are okay, except that the Bluetooth is a laid back version.
- Triple camera
- Poor battery power
- Lack of basic sensors
- Lack of 4G internet
Powering the Fly Life Geo is a removable Li-Ion 2200 mAh battery. This phone lacks wireless charging and fast charging options. This is poor even though the phone is an entry level mobile device. If you are using this smartphone, try to determine the talk time as you make use of the device daily.
Price and Availability
The price of Fly Life Geo is approximately $70. That means the buyer may be able to find it in varying prices online at the time of purchase. Yet, there is room for checking online to get the best price. The mobile phone is available now and has been released in July 2019.
