LG will present two new smartphones at the IFA 2018 that will be held from August 31st to September 5th, both based on Google's Wear OS platform. The Yonhap News website reports this.
The fact that LG is preparing at least one new smartwatch is rumored for several weeks. Last April, the name "LG Watch Timepiece" emerged, which could be one of the two wearables that LG will announce at the end of this summer.
LG Watch Timepiece should be different from the Watch Style and Sport - the last two smartwatches launched by LG - as it is expected to be a hybrid watch, a mix of analog and digital, then with a classic design and smart features.
According to AndroidHeadlines, LG Watch Timepiece comes with a stainless steel body that measures 45.5x45.4x12.9mm, protection against water and dust (IP68 certification), 1.2-inch LCD screen resolution 360x360 pixels, a battery 240mAh, 4GB eMMC memory, 768MB of RAM, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 2100 chipset, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.2, USB type C.
