Having know that one of China’s top phone manufacturer, Gionee recently unveiled and launched 3 beautiful devices, the Gionee S10, Gionee S10B and the Gionee S10C. Each of these devices, though may sound familiar, have their individual differences.
Albeit we highlighted few of the differences that exists among the devices, we promise to give a detailed comparison of the three devices in comprehensible article. But before then, we would be having a look at what makes up the main man (Gionee S10) of the Gionee S10 series.
Gionee S10 Review
The body work on the Gionee S10 is so artistic. And although it shares something in common with the iPhone 7 Plus design-wise, it still manages to hold its own share of novelty. Looking at the S10 from a distance almost seem like you’re face-to-face with Apple’s iPhone 7 Plus. This is as a result of the position of the dual camera, the camera design itself as well as the position of the Gionee logo on the rear.
The S10 wouldn’t be much of a burden to the hands or pocket at 178grams even though it has a wide screen. Aside the home button (which doubles as the fingerprint sensor) found at the front, the remaining hard keys are located on the left hand side of the S10.
As seen in the image above, the Gionee S10 is available in 4 colours – Cherry Gold, Dark Black, Indigo Blue and Primrose Green.
The Gionee S10 sports a big 5.5-inch LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. The screen has multi-touch capacity, resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and pixel density of 401ppi (pixels per inch).
One particular feature of the screen to fall in love with is the thin bezel. The S10 boasts of a pretty impressive 70.1% screen-to-body ratio.
PROCESSOR, OS & STORAGE
The Gionee S10 is powered by a Mediatek MT6757T Helio P25 chipset. The processor has eight cores (Octa-core) (Four 2.5 GHz Cortex-A53 and Four x1.4 GHz Cortex-A53). Handling graphics is the Mali-T880MP2 which is one of the highest performing and most energy-efficient mobile Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) in the Mali family.
The S10 is runs on Android OS v7.0 (based on Gionee’s native Amigo OS 4.0), has a monster 6GB RAM and on-board storage of 64GB.
One of the highlight feature of this device is the camera setup. At the back, there a 16 megapixel and 8 megapixel lens combination to take ultra clear pictures. The rear camera lenses are supported by a dual tone LED flashlight. Features of the rear camera include Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR and panorama.
As for the front camera setup, a dual 20-megapixel and 8-megapixel lens combination is in charge of taking beautiful selfies and sharp video calls.
Keeping the Gionee S10 alive is a Li-Ion 3450 mAh battery. The battery is non-removable and there is no information as to whether the S10 supports Quick charge technology or not.
The Gionee S10 is a beauty device with the best specifications in the Gionee S10 series. Big 5.5-inch screen, 6GB RAM, 64GB ROM, efficient GPU and big battery. With the Gionee S10, you would have a smooth user experience as multitasking and gaming will be as fluid and lag-free as possible.
