Google Adsense Page-level Ads Let You Earn More Money From Your Mobile Website

Google is now expanding its advertisement network to get in touch with all mobile users by introducing the next generation of ads called “Page-level ads“. The new Google Page-level ads for mobile come in due to increase in the numbers of people using smartphones to access the internet. Google Adsense advertisers can now reach more of the people they care about on mobile devices.

Page-level ads ad formats

Google Page-level ads offer visitors a great mobile experience – they only appear on the page when it makes sense.

The Page-level ads comprises of two ad formats: anchor/overlay ads and Vignettes ads that can be seen only on mobile optimized websites/blogs.

The key features of Page-level ads include:

  • They’re simple to set up. With Page-level ads you only need to place the ad code on your pages once, and you put the same ad code on each page.
  • They’re optimized. To ensure that you and your users get the most from this ad format, AdSense will only show Page-level ads when they’re likely to perform well and provide a good user experience.
  • It’s easy to change Page-level ad settings. Once you’ve added the ad code to your pages, you can turn individual Page-level ad formats on or off from theMy ads tab in your AdSense account. The ad code remains the same, even when you change your Page-level ad settings.
  • They don’t count towards your Google content ad limit per page.

Anchor/overlay ads:

The anchor/overlay ads format only stick to the edges of the user’s screen. It may be at the bottom, top or sides of the page. Users can easily dismiss them at any time.

Some important things to know about anchor/overlay ads:

  • They’re shown by AdSense at optimal times to help increase your revenue and provide a good user experience.
  • They don’t count towards yourthree ads per page limit.
  • They only serve on mobile-optimized webpages on high-end mobile devices.

Vignettes ads:

This ads format appears between page loads on your site. It is shown to visitors when leaving the page of your website rather than on arrival. Users can choose to skip them at any time.

Some important things to know about vignette ads:

  • They’re shown by AdSense at optimal times to help increase your revenue and provide a good user experience.
  • They’re displayed when the user leaves a page, rather than when they arrive on one, so the user doesn’t have to wait for them to load.
  • They’re limited in number per user to maintain a good user experience.
  • They don’t count towards yourthree ads per page limit.
  • They only serve on mobile-optimized webpages on high-end mobile devices.

In addition, they are easy to set up. Place the same piece of code just once on pages you want to show ads on, and AdSense takes care of the rest.

Is my AdSense Account Eligible for Page-level Ads?

If your Google AdSense account is eligible for the Page-level ad, a notification will be shown at the top of your Google Adsense dashboard. Click on the “Test it out” button to automatically guide you for further steps on how to enable or activate them and placing the ads in Website/blogs.

Introducing Page-level ads

There is no special way to activate the page-level ads. Only some users are eligible to use this features. If you are not eligible for the page level ads, then do not get disappointed. Just wait for few more days to be notified on your AdSense dashboard too.

How to make the Page-level Ads appear on your site

  • On the “Page-level ads” page, use the switch button to toggle on preferred ad formats you would like to show on your site.
  • Click “Get code” button at the bottom
  • Copy and paste the ad code in the <head> tag (or at the top of the <body>) of the pages where you want to show the ads. It is the same ad code for every page and site, and you will not need to change it even if you adjust your Page-level ads settings.
