Google Pixel 3 VS iPhone X: Which One Will You Pick?

Even with the new release of iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and the iPhone XR, the iPhone X still remains one of the best phones out there. In fact, the phone now has an update to the latest new Apple A12 Bionic chipset making it a competent competitor to the newly launched Google Pixel 3. The Google Pixel 3 is the latest update of the Pixel 2 that was launched in the year. Both phones sport’s a beautiful and premium body design and they also fall in the same price segment. We will compare the iPhone X with Google Pixel 3 and the comparing will include the camera which will be our major focus.

Google Pixel 3 VS iPhone X: Design Comparison

In terms of design, both phones feature a premium material on their body. The Google Pixel 3 is built with an Aluminium and glass and it has body dimensions of 68.2 mm x 145.6 mm x 7.9 mm and it weighs 148 gram. Meanwhile, the iPhone X sport’s a stainless steel material with a glass as well and the phone measures 5.65 in x 2.79 in x 0.30 in dimensions and weight 174 gram. Both are IP68 certified and they are available in multiple colors. The Google Pixel 3 is shipped in Black, White, Pink while the iPhone X is available in Silver, and Space Grey colors.

The Google Pixel 3 has a screen size of 5.5 inches FHD+ under OLED capacitive touchscreen with screen resolution of 1080×2160 Pixels and 439 PPI density. The iPhone X, on the other hand, has a screen size of 5.8 inches with a notch and a Super Retina HD OLED Multi-Touch which will deliver sharp resolution. You get 2436 x 1125 Pixels coupled with 458 PPI density. The Pixel 3 has a corning gorilla glass 5 protection with a screen to body ratio of 78.88%, while the iPhone X has Lon-Strengthened Glass protection with a screen to body ratio of 82.9%.

The iPhone X has a dual rear camera of 12 Megapixels f/1.8, 28mm + 12 Megapixel f/2.8, 56mm with a single front camera of 7 Megapixels. Both phones main camera can shoot 4K videos and they will take stunning photos as well. The iPhone X will take beautiful photos on the primary camera, while the Google Pixel 3 will snap better selfies on the front camera.

The Google Pixel 3 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset with an Adreno 630 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The iPhone X, on the other hand, has an Apple A11 Bionic upgradable to A12 Bionic with a Hexa-Core CPU and 3GB of RAM. On the storage, the Google Pixel 3 has 64GB and 128GB while the iPhone X has 64GB and 256GB of memory and they both do not support micro SD card.

The Google Pixel 3 has a nonremovable battery capacity of 2,915 mAh with both fast and wireless charging technology. The nonremovable battery capacity on the iPhone X will last longer than the one on it’s rival and it also supports both fast and wireless charging technology. The Google Pixel 3 and the iPhone X fall under $1000 for the 64GB model.

Our Verdict:

Judging from the specs unit on paper, the Google Pixel 3 might outperform the iPhone X.
But if I were to choose, I will pick the iPhone X because of the higher screen to body ratio and the smooth rounded edges. It’s also a matter of choosing between iOS and Android, so you should go for the OS you want.
