Groupon is one of the popular group buying and selling sites for the past decade. Since it was launched in 2008, it has stolen the attention of many – but has become one of the many visited sites every day.
When its popularity is high, it is reported that several parties want to get it at billions – including Google. However, over the last few years, its popularity has fallen. In fact, some of its operations have been sold, including in Malaysia.
Now, according to Recode reports, Groupon is said to be looking for new buyers for their company. One of the reasons is that their popularity is declining, thus making their company’s revenue also decrease.
Several parties may be named as buyers, including Alibaba.
We may hear more about the future and the fate of Groupon in the coming weeks.
