As known, Honor – the sub-brand of Huawei, ed-organized an event for October 31 which will announce its latest top of the range: we are obviously talking about Honor Magic 2, a highly anticipated device given the very suggestive premises.
However, in the last week, it became public knowledge that the Chinese manufacturer will also launch other products in addition to the smartphone. Until yesterday, the news was that the brand would launch Honor Watch and Honor FlyPods wireless headsets. Today the company has announced that a new tablet will be presented to the public on 31st October, the Honor WaterPlay 8.
Honor WaterPlay 8 is a smaller version of the Honor WaterPlay tablet announced last year during the launch of Honor 7X. Unlike last year’s model that has a 10-inch screen, the new version will have an 8-inch display . However, this is not the only difference.
The poster for the launch reveals that the Honor WaterPlay 8 will also have two rear cameras, a feature that is not seen very often on tablets. The device will also be waterproof as the 10-inch version. Unfortunately, at least for now, nothing is known of the remaining technical specifications of this new tablet: the only information is that it should be equipped with a smaller battery than its predecessor.
The model that Honor presented last year is equipped with a 10-inch 1920 x 1200 screen and a Kirin 659 processor, combined with 3 GB / 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB / 64 GB of expandable memory. The tablet also has an 8MP camera on both sides with background blur support for the front camera.
Other important features are a fingerprint scanner mounted on the front and a 6.660 mAh battery with 18W fast charge. Finally, the Honor WaterPlay tablet had arrived on the market with Android Nougat (preinstalled) as an operating system: we’ll see if Honor WaterPlay 8 will arrive with Oreo or even with Pie.
