QR codes can be found on every corner nowadays. Be it on the fish fingers, an invitation, a poster or anywhere else. QR codes make it possible to quickly display specific information or a website on the smartphone. However, you need a so-called QR code scanner.
Such is installed on the Samsung Galaxy S9 by default, but somewhat hidden.
Here we show you where to activate the QR Code Scanner on the Samsung Galaxy S9:
1. Activate QR Code extension in the Internet Browser
Please open the internet browser on your Samsung Galaxy S9. At the top right, touch the icon with the three dots – A menu will appear. Now select “Extensions” and then activate the slider for “QR Code Reader”
2. Scan QR Codes
Just tap on the symbol with the three dots in the top right corner. A new menu item is now “Scan QR Code”. Select this one and confirm that Samsung is allowed to use your camera. Then you can scan in a QR Code. The result will then be displayed directly in the browser.
So now you know how to easily scan a QR Code on the Samsung Galaxy S9 or the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus and open the corresponding website.
