The new watchOS 5 comes with a lot of amazing features, and one of them is a feature which automatically detects when you have started and ended with a workout. A few minutes into the workout, your Apple Watch will display a notification asking if you want to start tracking the workout. This is just a suggestion, however, and until you select an option from the notification, it will not track anything.
Your watch will also display a notification if you have stopped working out but did not end a workout on the watch. This feature can come in handy for some people especially if you are a little forgetful.

- On this screen, you can disable the Start and End Workout Reminder.
That’s all. Your watch will no longer display notifications when you start or end workouts.
Although these reminders can be frustrating, so is the process of starting Workouts via the Workouts app. However, you can get past this by using Siri to start a workout on your device. Simply give Siri a command like “Begin a run,” and your watch will launch the Workouts app and start tracking workouts.
