England seems to have turned its back on Huawei. However, the Chinese giant did not. After this manufacturer opened a new store in Shanghai, China last month, it announced plans to open three new Experience Stores in the UK. A great bet from a brand that does not turn its back on setbacks.
Huawei does not give up on England and opens three new stores!
This company plans to spend around 10 million pounds to open the three stores in London and Manchester. It will also create the first private label stores on High Street. In practice, this will translate into more than 100 jobs in the region.
According to Huawei’s plan, the first store will open in London’s Olympic Park, Stratford, in October 2020. It will be followed by a dedicated retail space and service center in Manchester. The inauguration is scheduled for February 2021.
There will be another experience store in London, scheduled to open next year. The company already has a Huawei Service Center in Wembley, London. It was opened in June this year.
The company says the goal behind the new Experience Stores is to enable consumers to interact with a range of Huawei products, including smartphones, laptops, tablets, headsets, smartwatches, smartbands, speakers, and more.
The announcement of the opening of the three new stores with an investment of £ 10 million is a bold move by Huawei, which was banned by the UK from participating in the development of the 5G infrastructure just a few days ago.
The British government’s ban on Huawei will cost telecommunications operators in the country some £ 2 billion. In addition, it will also delay the adoption of 5G for a few years.
However, the Chinese giant operating in the UK for the past 20 years has already asked the UK government to reconsider its decision. What is certain is that the opening of new stores reveals that this company wants to stay and compete in the English market, despite the government’s decision.
