The event scheduled for just about a month after the Honor 8 was launched in China confirms Huawei’s desire to expand outside of China and to grab a chunk of the US market as well as European market off Apple and market leader Samsung.
The Honor 8 packs some wonderful specs and a spectacular glass body build which would make it a great buy in the US especially when compared with the price.
In case you’ve forgotten, the Honor 8 sports a 5.2-inch 1080pixels display and is powered by an octa-core Kirin 950 chipset. The device comes in 3GB or 4GB of RAM options and 64GB of internal storage. The sleek device has an 8-megapixel camera up front and a dual 12-megpixel camera at the rear with an f/2.2 aperture. The Honor 8 equally packs a 3000mAh nattery which supports fast charging and has a USB Type-C charging port.
The Honor 8 is a dual-SIM phone with one of the slots doubling as a microSD slot. There’s also a fingerprint scanner mounted at the rear on the Honor 8 which boots Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Huawei’s custom EMUI 4.1 skin over the OS.
