Huawei Mate X 3C certified with 55W charger; could launch very soon
A few hours ago, the Huawei Mate 20 X 5G edition was spotted on the database of China's 3C. This indicated that Huawei may release the device in the Chinese market real soon. Today, the Huawei Mate X foldable smartphone whose model number is TAH-AN00 has bagged approval from the 3C body. This suggests that the Chinese firm may soon release the 5G enabled Mate X in China.
The HW-200200CP1 charger has been approved and it comes with support for up to 65W chargers. When the Huawei Mate X foldable smartphone was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019 tech expo earlier this year, it was revealed that the phone features support for 55W SuperCharge fast charging technology.
A few weeks ago, He Gang who is the head of the smartphone division at Huawei had shared the 5G test result of the Mate X. Using the Ookla Speed Test app, results show that the phone has download speeds of 1 Gbps and upload speeds of 100 Mbps. China Unicom’s network was the network used to perform the 5G tests on Mate X at the Shanghai Research Institute office.
The Huawei Mate X packs a 7nm Kirin 980 processor. This chipset can also be found on the LTE connectivity enabled Huawei Mate 30 and P30 series of flagship phones. However, the Mate X also packs a Balong 5G modem that has a top download speed of 4.6Gbps. This is what enables the Mate X to browse 5G.
The Mate X also features a 6.6-inch display when folded. The AMOLED panel has an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 ratio while also featuring a full HD+ resolution of 1148 x 2480 pixels. When it is unfolded, the phone features an 8-inch outer OLED screen which has a display resolution of 2200 x 2480 pixels. It also packs EMUI 9.1 based Android 9 Pie out of the box.
The phone also comes with 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage space. The phone also has a microSD card slot for external memory. On the rear of the phone is the Leica engineered quad camera setup. It features a 40 MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture, an 8 MP telephoto camera with f/2.4 aperture, a 16 MP ultrawide camera with f/2.2 aperture and a ToF 3D sensor. The phone also has a fingerprint sensor mounted on the side. It also packs a 4500 mAh battery with supports for 55W rapid charging.
The Huawei Mate X was recently listed on the company’s official online store which means that it may soon be available for purchase in China soon. When the company had announced its 5G roadmap at the Huawei Global Analyst Conference in April, it had stated that the Mate X will be debuting in China in June.
