Infinix Note 4 X572: Design

Infinix Note 4 is not in the league of expensive devices, but it sure has an awesome design.  It has a sturdy metal frame that makes it feels good to hold. The 5.7-inch screen is protected by a 2.5D curved-edge glass that gives it impeccable aesthetics.

On the front side, following the trend is a screen with minimal bezels. The speaker, the secondary camera with its respective LED flash are on the upper edge while at the lower end, right in the center, there is the start button which is, in turn, an efficient fingerprint reader with which in Only 0.15 seconds we have access most safely on the phone. I love having the fingerprint at the front.

The right side of the Note 4 holds the volume rocker with the power button just at the top. Both buttons are sufficiently clicky though a metal construction would have been vastly preferred over the somewhat cheap feeling plastic buttons.

The left side has nothing; no SIM tray or SD card tray (SIMs and storage card can be placed in the device by opening the plastic back cover).

In the rear area, we can see in vertical orientation starting from the upper part, the main camera, below this, is the dual LED flash, then the name of the maker in silver color and in the lower part, the name of the series inscribed in same silver color.

Under the rear plastic cover is two SIM card slot (both micro), and an additional slot for micro SD card. Fortunately, even without external storage card, there’s a whopping 32GB internal storage to play with. We love the fact that the phone ships with a dedicated micro SD card slot in addition to the dual SIM card slots.

Its dimensions are 15.80 x 7.55 x 0.77 cm and weighs just .198 grams. It is slightly on the heavier side due to the beefy battery, the 198 grams weight is well-distributed and it means that the phone feels comfortable and well-built for a phablet device.

It comes in three colors that will allow you to choose between champagne gold, ice blue, and Milan black. But, we have got the black color for this review as you can see.

The bottom of the Infinix Note 4 has two grills flanking the micro-USB port. Actually, just one has the speaker, while the other is for the microphone.

As mentioned earlier, the phone has a sturdy metal body in aluminum polycarbonate chassis and the back has gentle curves with beveled edges. The top of the device sports the 3.5mm audio jack only.

Infinix Note 4 X572: Screen

The Infinix Note 4 comes with a Sharp Capacitive 5.7-inch display having a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels with an FHD IPS LCD panel. The screen is protected by a scratch resistance glass with a 2.5D curved edge. The Full HD 5.7 inch screen absolutely dominates the front of the phone.

It also includes a wide range of colors (85% NTSC) exceeding by 20% some phones of the same category. In this way, you will enjoy much more intense and clear tones that in combination with its large proportion gives us a unique and dynamic experience when watching videos, reading, playing, etc.; loaded with more intense and clear tones. The screen is pretty bright and colors quite vivid. The display doesn’t look cheap.

A large screen automatically means that the Infinix Note 4 is good, a large device but not really unwieldy. We’re getting to a point where bezel-less displays are making their way to the mid-segment but certainly not this price point yet and the Infinix Note 4 doesn’t sport extraordinarily large bezels.

Moving to the battery section, the Infinix Note 4 includes a non-removable 4,300mAh lithium ion power source that’s above average, with which we can enjoy up to two days of moderate use and one and a half days of intensive use. And as if that were not enough, it integrates the fast charging support with which you can recharge almost 50% of the battery in just thirty minutes. And to put the icing on the cake, 5 minutes charge will be enough to make a call for up to 2 hours with internet mode off.

A video loop test was performed with the battery at 100%, volume at 50%, brightness at 50% and device in Airplane Mode. Videos played for exactly 13 hours and some minutes using VLC player.

Infinix Note 4 X572: Operating System and Connectivity

This model works with the operating system Android v7.0 (Nougat) with a user interface layer that Infinix calls Chameleon v2.3 (XOS), which in addition to being easy to manage, incorporates the option of multi-windows that allows us to make use of two applications at the same time through the use of split screen. And if that were not enough, the fingerprint recognition system includes a feature that will unlock photos, applications, and other chords to the fingerprint that is entered.

The lockscreen rotates through wallpapers every time and displays an inspirational quote at the bottom. You can, however, disable that. A shortcut button at the bottom allows you to save a wallpaper that you may particularly like. Like most devices, on either side are shortcut keys for the dialer and the camera.

In terms of connectivity, this Phablet has support for 4G VoLTE, 3G and 2G networks, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, USB OTG, GPS, A-GPS and FM radio.

Infinix Note 4 X572: Hardware & Performance

Going into performance, the unit I have comes with 32GB storage internal storage and I’ve been able to use both SIM slots for SIM cards. As for RAM, my unit packs 3GB, although there’s cheaper one with 2GB. The one you choose depends on your budget and needs. The storage can further be expandable up to 128GB so we can keep more photos, videos, files and others media freely.

But so far, the 3GB RAM and a Mali-T720 MP3 GPU is quite enough to run several applications without problems and enjoy a very successful gaming experience. Multitasking is good and there are no issues with performance.

The Note 4 Phablet has a MediaTek MT6753 CPU and a Cortex A53 eight-core processor. Working at a speed of 1.3GHz, this has a considerably good power that, while not the best on the market, will also give us the option to process several functions without saturating the operation of our phone.

Benchmarking the device reveals some results. On Antutu, Infinix Note 4 scored 45463, while the scores on GeekBench 4 are 619 and 2582 for single-core processing and multi-core processing respectively.

Infinix Note 4 X572: Camera

By attaching a profitable Flash Dual LED, the main camera of 13.0 MP is able to capture high quality images (resolution 4208 x 3120 pixels) with vivid colors and record videos in HD 1920 × 1080 at 30 fps that will give us the possibility to keep for the story our best moments no matter where we are, handling to perfection the repercussions that light conditions may have on our material. Low lighting will no longer be an impediment.

Its attributes include HDR technology, autofocus, Geo-tagging and face detection.

And if you are passionate about self-portraits, this terminal incorporates an 8MP front camera with its respective LED Flash with the most innovative Selfie filters to make your photographs the most fun and lofty.

The camera configurations is what you should expect of a device below $200.

For its price, Infinix Note 4, offers quite a lot in terms of value. With a large, high-quality display and fantastic battery life, the Infinix Note 4 manages to differentiate itself even with the few cons it has. The camera too performs rather well once you play around with the manual mode. Its bright display and all at a good price makes it a winner.
