Innjoo has added a new smartphone, the Innjoo Max 4 Pro to its catalogue of smartphones on its official website. Thus is quite surprising, considering that there’s no Innjoo Max 4, but since the Fire 4 Plus has been announced before the Fire 4, this might just be Innjoo’s newest strategy; launch the higher variant before the standard variant.
The Innjoo Max 4 Pro packs a stunning design and enough specifications to make your mouth water, but has a flaw which might hinder it from topping its competitors in the market.
Innjoo Max 4 Pro Specifications, Review and Highlights
Design & Display
I must say, the Innjoo Max 4 Pro looks stunning. It has an edge-to-edge display with the side bezels almost out of sight. The smartphone has a metal unibody design and has a curved back for easy grip. It makes use of a physical home button positioned below the display.
In terms of display features, the Max 4 Pro has a 6-inch IPS display with a 1280 * 720 (HD) resolution and a pixel density of 245 ppi. An HD resolution isn’t so good on a display as large as 6 inches, and this is something that could stop me from getting this device.
Storage & Processor
The operations of the Max 4 Pro are handled by a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor while its graphics are rendered by a Mali-T860 MP2 graphics processor.
The smartphone would be made available in 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB memory variants, both of which can be expanded in the internal storage via an external microSD card.
A 16MP camera is present at the rear of the Max 4 Pro to take care of photography. The rear camera is quite interesting; it uses 6P lens and a f/1.8 aperture to let the right amount of light in for a picture, and has PDAF for focusing fast on objects no matter the environmental conditions. This camera is accompanied by a dual LED flash for visibility in low-light conditions.
The front of the Max 4 Pro holds an 8MP camera which works for taking selfies which can never be dull-coloured, thanks to the LED flash present beside it.
The Innjoo Max 4 Pro is equipped with a 4800mAh Lithium-Polymer battery which on its own can last for 240 hours on standby and a whole day with heavy use.
The problem with most smartphones packing large battery capacities is that they take long to charge fully, and Innjoo has addressed this in the Max 4 Pro by including a 9V/2A power adapter which takes the battery pecentage from 0 to 100 in just one and a half hours.
Software & Connectivity
The Innjoo Max 4 Pro runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, offering the latest in terms of software. It has a dual micro SIM slot with support for 4G LTE. The phone features a 0.35-seconds-fast fingerprint sensor which is embedded into its physical home button.
