The Google Camera application is becoming increasingly popular in the Android community due to the extraordinary HDR + function that also works on non-Google Pixel phones. These ports are mainly made for Snapdragon phones, because with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, the Google camera port can reboot the Samsung Galaxy S9, the Samsung Galaxy S9 + and the Samsung Galaxy Note 9.
Some of the best developers have managed to solve these problems and have brought Google Camera to Samsung Galaxy S9 / Galaxy S9 + and Samsung Galaxy Note 9 on both Snapdragon and Exynos chipsets. Although the excellent Pixel HDR + works, Portrait mode still doesn’t work. The developers of these portals state that once Google Pixels 3 is released, they should be able to run Portrait mode by examining the updated Google Camera APK.
Google Camera on Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung Galaxy Note 9 with Snapdragon processor
The Google Camera app port, which I personally use on my Snapdragon Samsung Galaxy Note 9, was created by senior member XDA xterminater07 with the help of defcomg and fahmi182. Google camera works very well but only if you follow the instructions and select the correct settings. In the BSG mod settings, I set the model as Google Pixel 2 XL and activated the Google Pixel auto-HDR +. If you do not set it, the app may be unstable or simply not working.
Google Camera on Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung Galaxy Note 9 with Exynos processor
The Google Camera app port for Exynos processor, created by XDA Senior member IDan1109 , is similar to that for the Snapdragon processor but for the Exynos version of the phones. The only problem is that, depending on the environment, the images can be overexposed or underexposed and present a green tint. This can be solved by configuring the settings well, but it depends on your device. Even the portrait mode does not work very well, but Live Focus is incorporated into the original camera, so it can be used instead.
The developers working on these mods are fantastic. Google Camera usually produces much better images than the original camera. The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has just got an update with a series of improvements to the camera, but in my opinion, the Google Pixel HDR + is still the best. And with the new launch of Google Pixel 3 next week, we expect new mods of the fantastic Pixel 3 camera app soon.
