The Intex Infie 3 is an entry-level smartphone that has been introduced in India. The device made its debut alongside the Infie 33 we reviewed earlier today. Unlike the Infie 33, the Infie 3 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition.
The Go Edition should help in optimizing the device with all the Go apps on-board. The company ditched the Face ID feature on this one, this means the device has no biometric identification. Nonetheless, it has 1GB of RAM and 8GB storage. Lets find out more.
In this article we talk about:
The device is very portable and can be held with one hand all day long. It has a Plastic back which is well crafted with curved sides and edges. There’s a horizontal-like foundation at the top middle which houses the rear camera and LED flash.
The Intex logo is seen at its usual position, while the loudspeaker is seen at the bottom corner. The Infie 3 is quite bulky to the sides, measuring 10.2mm in thickness but it weighs just 140g, making it easy to hold and operate. It’s available in Gray, Blue and Gold colors.
Intex reduced the bezels on the front, as the screen dishes out 18:9 aspect ratio. The screen stretches all the way to the sides and more, this gives off a curved screen vibe. Those on a budget will definitely love this.
However, the IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen is quite small, standing at 4.95-inch. The screen has 480 x 960 pixels in resolution and 217 pixel per inch density. The screen also stretches up to 68.35% screen-to-body ratio.
Hardware and Software
Under the hood, there’s a MediaTek MT6737 chip which was manufactured on a 28nm process technology. The chip comes integrated with 4-cores of processor clocking at 1.1GHz max. While the ARM Mali-720 MP2 graphics processor manages graphics.
As expected, there’s 1GB of RAM space available for multitasking and a memory speed of 533MHz. In the storage department, you get the standard 8GB space, but you can expand up to 32GB using a memory card. The Infie 3 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition.
The phone is equipped with the same 5MP rear camera on the Infie 33 and comes with a LED flash as well. While the pixels on the selfie camera has been reduced to 2MP.
Powering the Intex Infie 3 is a 2000mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery with no fast charging technology. Without the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% might take up to 2 hours.
