The Koobee S12 was announced by the new Chinese OEM last month, but it’s now officially available on shopping stores in China. The mid-range smartphone will be a perfect fit for those who can’t afford the F2 and F2 Plus.
It’s powered by an octa-core processor and has dual rear camera. You also get 4GB of RAM and 32GB storage space. Flowing with the current trend, the screen dishes out an 18:9 aspect ratio as well. Lets find out more.
The device is designed with 3D curved metal, basically, it has was crafted with Plastic back and Metal frame. It sports dual antenna lines which brings out the very best of the body.
It has a rear fingerprint scanner in the usual position for fast biometric access to the device. The S12 is quite slim measuring just 7.9mm in thickness and weighing 171g overall. It’s available in Gold and Blue colors.
Enjoy full and clear details on the Full View display with in-Cell technology. The screen offers the trending 18:9 full experience with super minimal bezels. The top and bottom bezels are still visible, with the too housing the usual features.
The 5.7-inch HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen is brilliant for a device in its price range. The screen boasts of 1440 x 720 pixels in resolution and 282 pixel per inch density. It stretches up to 75% screen-to-body ratio while a Corning Gorilla Glass sits on top.
Hardware and Software
Behind the wheels is the popular MediaTek MT6750 mid-range chip and it’s 28nm process node. It has an octa-core processor clocking at 1.5GHz max for a smooth ride. While the ARM Mali-T860 MP2 graphics card clocks at 520MHz with 4-Cores.
You can multitask easily with the 4GB RAM space available on the device, even though it has a slower memory speed of 667MHz. Furthermore, there’s a lower 32GB storage space available and you can upgrade up to 128GB with a memory card. Although it runs on an older Marshmallow operating system, there’s a highly modified Dido OS 7.6 on top.
At the rear, you get dual 13MP + 13MP shooters to explore your photography potential. Both cameras has f/2.0 aperture and comes with a LED flash as well. For selfies, the 5MP selfie camera gets the job done.
Powering the Koobee S12 is a 3000mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 1.8 hours.
