Leagoo Elite 1 Smartphone Review, Specs And Price

Leagoo is well known for its low to medium range budget smartphones as a Chinese company that it is., it offers a handful of features at a relatively low price. The brand is majorly targeting the low-end price market sector and also have a handful of medium range devices. Although, at the moment you might not have heard about the Leagoo brand has it still just holds a relatively small percentage of the smartphone market. This is partially because the Chinese smartphone maker of Android smartphones has only recently branched out of the Asia market. The Leagoo Elite 1 is one of the numerous budget-friendly smartphones by the tech company.

It offers a handful of feature at a relatively low price which is what the Leagoo brand is all about, bringing fantastic spec to your hands without you having to part with a pocket breaking fee. The Leagoo Elite 1 offers an impressive number of feature tucked in a well-designed build.

DESIGN AND DISPLAY

For most budget smartphones the design is pretty much traditional often with plastic casing. However, the Leagoo Elite 1 offers an impressive stainless steel build that makes the device look like a high-end device.  The device comes with a very much premium build with a stainless steel back panel covered by a Gorilla Glass that covers it back and front.

This creates a kind of lens flair emanating from the light that reflects off the glass giving it a nice alluring beauty with stainless steel around the edges. The screen bezel at both sides are very slim maximising the usable screen surface as well as your viewing space. The volume rocker and power button which are also made of steel are present at the left side while at the bottom of the right edge there is a customizable smart button which can be used for taking pictures. The smart button comes in very handy while taking landscape picture and can also be customised for music playback as well as launch any app with a long press.

Leagoo Elite 1 has a dimension that translates into a 143.8mm long, 69.5mm wide and a thickness of 7.5mm which is pretty much on the slim side. The smartphone weighs about 136g and features a sapphire glass coated fingerprint scanner which also doubles as the home button flanked on both sides by two capacitive touch buttons.

A full HD display is what the Leagoo Elite 1 offers with a 5-inch 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution IPS LCD screen display protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3. This produces an excellent colour reproduction as well as a clear viewing experience with a screen that has a pixel density of 441ppi.

 

CPU, OS AND STORAGE

The Leagoo Elite 1 is powered by a MediaTek MT6735 octa-core processor that clock at 1.3GHz with an ARM Mali T720 GPU. It also comes with a 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and runs on Android 5.1 which is upgradable.

BATTERY AND CAMERA

The battery of the Leagoo Elite 1 is on a low side with just 2400 battery capacity that manages to last a full charge on regular use. It has a 16MP rear camera with dual flash and a 13MP front camera with a single LED flash.
