The Leagoo S10 was teased during the 2018 MWC and we saw the device in all its glory. This was even before VKworld released the K1 with triple rear cameras. The S10 will be hitting shopping stores soon and it will be the advanced version of the S9.
The device looks like the P20 Pro from the back, due to the positioning of the triple rear camera. It’s powered by the Helio P60 from MediaTek with 8-cores of processor. There’s also a massive 6GB of RAM space as well, a notched screen and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
In this article we talk about:
The S10 sports an aluminium alloy overall unibody with Twilight color finishing at the rear. This gives off different colors when it reflects light looking all magical and inviting. The curved sides and edges provides a firm grip for you to hold and flaunt.
Leagoo really got inspired by the Huawei P20 Pro, we can see the triple camera in a vertical position and it looks quite identical to what we saw on the P20 Pro. The first dual camera at the top has a dual-LED flash in-between them, while the third sensor is underneath, then the Leagoo logo follows down in that aspect.
As expected, the Leagoo S10 comes with the notched screen, but compared to the S9, the screen has been reduced obviously. Only the selfie camera has its own notch, leaving room for more display. The screen supports in-display fingerprint scanner at the bottom corner as well.
The 5.99-inch FHD+ OGS capacitive touchscreen is absolutely stunning. The screen has a resolution of 2246 x 1080 pixels and 434 pixel per inch density for sharp visuals. The screen also stretches up to 85% screen to body ratio as well, giving you more screen and less bezels.
Hardware and Software
Under the hood, the Helio P60 chip from MediaTek takes charge and clocks at a fast speed of 2.0GHz. The chip was built on a 12nm process node, so power efficiency should be great. While the AI-powered ARM Mali-G72 MP3 graphics processor handles graphics.
Multitasking shouldn’t be a problem with 6GB of RAM space available, it has a memory speed of over 1GHz as well. For storing files, there’s 128GB storage space and you can upgrade up to 256GB. It should run on Android 8.1 Oreo OS.
The highlight of the smartphone is the triple rear camera, the 24MP + 16MP + 8MP cameras at the back are AI-powered and would take amazing photographs even in low light. There’s a dual-LED flash to help out and other features like portrait mode, bokeh effect and others. The notch houses a 13MP selfie camera for selfies.
Powering the Leagoo S10 is a 4000mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 2 hours.
