If you are looking for a smartphone that offers the latest trend but has little functionality, then this is the smartphone for you. The Leagoo brand has been known for its wide range of affordable smartphones, and the Leagoo T1 is one of them. The device marks the beginning of a new line of Leagoo smartphone a T-series of phone models.

It is available in two models the Leagoo T1 and T1 Plus which are both fashionable devices.  Like the device slogan ‘Born to be stylish’ the device as a nice stylish look of a premium device. Both devices come with pretty much the same specs, the major difference between this two is that the Leagoo T1 has 5.0-inch screen while the T1 Plus has a 5.5-inch  screen.

The Leagoo T1 model has a somewhat metal casing; this is because only the middle part is actually metal with the ends being made of plastic painted to look like a metal and weighs 143g. Although the two material are not depicted to blend, the plastic part is not quite noticeable, and considering the extremely low price, there is nothing wrong with it.

It has a modern smart shape with 2.5D rounded edges, and a flat surface with the surface below the window of the camera painted in the same colour as the body. The back panel houses the camera with a LED flashlight and a fingerprint scanner which is rear for a device with this specs. Most Chinese phone manufacturers place the fingerprint scanner at the back while high-end brands like Samsung and Apple prefer the front which I prefer. The fingerprint scanner can also be used for taking shots using the selfie camera. It is quite thick which in this case is not due to any apparent reason at a thickness of 7.5mm and is available in Rose Gold, Champagne Gold and Titanium Grey colours.

The Leagoo T1 features a 5-inches screen has a 1280 x 720 resolution with capacitive IPS touchscreen technology. The screen has a pixel density of 294ppi with OGS technology just like most regular smartphone in its price range. The screen has a Gorilla Glass 4 technology which means it is scratch resistant. Also, it has an oleophobic coating that preventing fingerprint smudges and water from staying on.

The Leagoo T1 has a MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor which clocks at 1.3Ghz, a 2Gb RAM and an ARM Mali-T720 GPU that is suitable to an extent for running various softwares. The 16GB ROM is quite small but can be extended using a microSD card up to 128GB. It features a comfortable Android 6.0 version which is not the latest but is okay for this price tag.

The batter is an average 2,400mAh which is meet the needs of the less energy consuming hardware platform and low-resolution display, so it is okay. The rear camera is at 13MP which takes some pretty decent pictures, and the front is at 8MP for taking selfies and takes a video resolution at a maximum of 720P.
