The Honor 8S is an upcoming entry-level/mid-range phone by Huawei. The specs of the Honor 8S along with some official renders were recently leaked online. While the Honor 8S doesn't feature any special specs, the phone features a pretty unique design, particularly on its rear.
Many phones which are released these days share quite similar appearances, and it seems pretty difficult for phones to stand out in appearance. However, once in a while, a phone that stands out from the rest surfaces. The Honor 8S seems to be one of such devices.
Most entry-level/mid-range phones these days come with a smooth slab of polycarbonate or metal with different types of finishes to make them look good. The Honor 8S, however, sports a polycarbonate back with a dual-textured design.
The Honor 8S features a back which is split into two unequal halves. One part extends from the camera to the bottom while the other half has a textured design which should give users a firm grip of the phone. The phone comes in three variants: blue, black and gold.
In terms of specs, the Honor 8S features a 5.71-inch IPS display with a 1520 x 720 resolution. At the top of the display is a Dewdrop notch which houses the selfie camera.
The Honor 8S comes with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage which can be expanded via a MicroSD card slot. It is powered by the Helio A22 processor. On the rear, the phone features a 13 MP camera and a 5 MP selfie camera on the front. However, the phone has no fingerprint sensor.
It also features a 3020mAh battery, an audio jack which is located on to and it will come with EMUI 9.0 based on Android Pie out of the box.
We do not have any information on when the phone will be launched or how much it will cost. However, since the user manual which was leaked is in German, the phone will launch in Germany.
