The Maze Alpha X is a new entry from smartphone manufacturer, Maze. Before that there has been the Maze Alpha which was launched earlier this year. The Alpha X smartphone shares a resemblance with the Maze Alpha but sports a different set of specs and a near-bezeless design.
The Alpha X features a massive 6.0-inch FHD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The display offering stands at 2160 by 1080pixels of resolution and has 2.5D curved glass laid on top.
The device sports a metal unibody design with well rounded edges and light-reflective surface at the back. The smartphone carries slim bezels on the sides and top, leaving the bottom with a rather thick bezel. The selfie camera is positioned at the bottom right corner of the smartphone and it aslso sports a front-facing fingerprint sensor.
Under the hood, the Alpha X is powered by an Octa-core Helio P25 processor with Mali-T880 MPU Graphics processor completing the chipset. The chipset ensures a lag-free user experience across all functions and is very adept at multitasking. The Alpha X comes in two variants; a 64GB ROM variant and a 128GB of ROM variant both possessing 6GB of RAM.
The smartphone has 13MP and 5MP shooters with LED-flash rounding off the rear camera offering. The smartphone variants differ in sensors, the 64GB variant carries a SONY IMX258 sensor while the 128GB variant sports OmniVision’s OV16880 sensor. The fore features a 5MP camera for selfies positioned just below the display.
The Alpha X carries within a built-in 3900mAh battery that brings it to life. Connectivity options include; Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS+A-GPS+GLONASS, USB Type-C, fingerprint sensor, 4G LTE, .
The smartphone runs Android’s Nougat 7.0 Operating System out of the box.
