Moto G7 Review: Price, Availability, Performance & Full Specs
Motorola is planning to release two smartphones; one at the end of October, 2018 and the other in the early parts of 2019. They are Moto G7 and Moto G7 Plus.
These smartphone releases are not official yet. Motorola has not come out to make both devices official. However, there have been several leaks which reveal the specifications of both smartphones.
In this review, we take a particular look at the Moto G7 which some have described as the new silver budget king. Leaks came in form of images and videos, making the specifications of the Moto G7 ever clearer to smartphone enthusiasts.
Design and Display of Moto G7
Display type of Moto G7 is IPS LCD capacitive touch screen having 16 million colors. The size is 6.4 inches having 85 screen to body ratio. It has a resolution of 1080 X 2340 19.5:9 ratio with 403 ppi density. Besides, the multi-touch capacity is 10 fingers and the smartphone has Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection.
Dimension of the device is 157 x 75.3 x 8 mm. The weight is unspecified yet, nevertheless, we know that the predominant make up of the smartphone is glass and aluminum frame. It is not water resistant but it is splash resistant. The device comes in black and red colors.
Camera Features of Moto G7
Features of the main camera situated to the rear is 16 MP PDAF plus 5 MP f/2.2 aperture with depth sensor. Main camera features include dual LED dual-tone flash, panorama, and auto- HDR. The video capacity is [email protected]
For the secondary camera which is selfie camera, it is a makeup of 12 MP LED flash. The image resolution is 4616 x 3464 pixels. We admire the flash feature in selfie cameras because they are not a possibility for some smartphones.
Hardware, Software, and Storage
Chipset found on Moto G7 is Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 MSM8956. This is good for a mid-range smartphone. Furthermore, graphics work on the mobile phone is Adreno 512. Processors active herein are Octa-core 2.2 GHz, Quad core, Kryo 260 and 1.8 GHz Quad core Kryo 260. In addition to that, the architecture is 64-bit.
Storage capacity is 4GB RAM which cannot be expanded. But there is also the 64GB internal storage which can be expanded by the use of a microSD card up to the tune of 256GB.
Network and Connectivity
When it arrives, Moto G7 should be able to handle GSM, CDMA, HSPA, EVDO, and LTE. This means it is meant to be an all-rounder when it comes to network technology. Of course the connectivity is going to be what obtains in most smartphones: Wi-Fi Direct, mobile hotspot, Bluetooth, microUSB, NFC, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, and other minor details.
Battery Life for Moto G7
Battery power for the Moto G7 is a non-removable Li-Ion 3500 mAh battery. This is at mid-range as well but in a smartphone like this, one expects to have more battery life power for multi-tasking purposes. More information about the battery life may be revealed soon.
Price and Availability
Price of the device is expected to be around Rs 19,999 or around 270 USD. If all things go as expected, the Moto G7 should be available on the 24th of October, 2018.
