Motorola Moto Z4 Play is not yet in the smartphone market. This phone is poised to be released in the first quarter of 2019, sometime in March. Even Motorola has not announced it yet but it has passed the necessary certifications to make it go live.

Design and Display

Motorola Moto Z4 Play phone arrives in metal body frame design and is P2i splash resistant. Dimensions are 158 x 75 x 7.25 mm and the weight is unspecified. It comes in only black color. However, it has no waterproof protection, but has fingerprint sensor mounted under the display. On the other hand, there is face recognition technology support in the device.

Also, it is a 6.2 inches screen of AMOLED capacitive multi-touch screen, which comes without a secondary display but comes with display protection. Further, it sports 2340 x 1080 pixels of screen resolution. Furthermore, there are 16 million colors, 2.5D curved screen, Moto display, Corning Gorilla Glass, and pixel density is 416 PPI.

Camera Features

This phone is equipped with single primary rear camera setup of 48 MP that comes with dual LED flash. Additionally, at the front the selfie camera is 16 MP, which comes with LED flash. However, the video performance in the device is 2160p and 1080p.

Camera features in the phone are as follows: Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, auto focus, EIS and OIS, HDR, and other features.

Hardware & Software

To take things further, Motorola Moto Z4 Play also sports Android OS v9.0 Pie as the operating system with Stock Android as user interface. Another good thing is that it comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset which comes with process technology 11nm, 64-bit architecture. Moreover, the CPU is 2 x 2.0 GHz Octa-core Kryo 460, and the GPU is Adreno 612.

Storage Capacity and Sensors

Furthermore, Motorola Moto Z4 Play is entitled variant of 4GB of RAM and 6GB of RAM which are not able to expand no matter what. At the internal storage level, it has 64GB and 128GB spaces. These can be increased to 512GB with a micro-SD card. There are six sensors in the phone and that is accelerometer, proximity, fingerprint, compass, gyro, and light.

Network and Connectivity

The Motorola Moto Z4 Play is supported by GSM, CDMA, SCDMA, HSPA and 4G LTE. So it has 2G, 3G and 4G available for internet connectivity and other uses. This makes the device a 4G compliant mobile device that has dual hybrid/nano SIM card slot.

Expectedly, network support of Motorola Moto Z4 Play are Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi, mobile hotspot, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO, NFC, headphone jack and USB v2.0 Type C 1.0 reversible connector. Evidently, there is no HDMI and infrared in the device.

Battery Life Motorola Moto Z4 Play

The battery of the phone is a good one at a Li-Ion 3600 mAh non-removable that has no wireless charging and but has fast charging technology. Talk time and standby time are not specified.
