The Motorola P30 is among the trio phones launched by Moto in August 2018. This phone alongside the Motorola P30 Play is the affordable model of three. They pack similar looks and some features on the inside, however, some of the specifications on both phones differ. We will be comparing the Motorola P30 with the Motorola P30 Play smartphone.

Motorola P30 VS Motorola P30 Play: Design

Until you bring these phones together, you can hardly spot the difference, because, they lookalike with the same design. Both phones have a notch on the front and their back are built with Aluminium Alloy while the front features glass. On the body, the Moto P30 has a bigger and thicker body that measures 75.9 mm x 155.8 mm x 8.9 mm and weighs 170 gram. The lighter one is the Moto P30 Play that measures 75.9 mm x 155.8 mm x 8.9 mm in dimensions and weighs 162 gram.

The Motorola P30 has a screen size of 6.2 inches FHD with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2246 Pixels and 402 pixels per inch density. Motorola P30 Play is offering a display size of 5.86 inches HD+ with 1520 x 720 Pixels and 287 pixels per inch density. Both phones have a display protection with 2.5D curved glass.

For photography, the Moto P30 has a combo camera of 16 Megapixels + 5 Megapixels with 4K video recording and dual LED flash. It has a single front camera of 12 Megapixels with f/2.0 Aperture, and Face Recognition. As for the Moto Z3 Play, it still packs a dual camera setup of 13 Megapixels + 2 Megapixels which also shoot 4K videos with an LED flash. The 8 Megapixels on the front will takes beautiful selfies.

In the hardware, the Moto P30 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset on the inside with an octa-core processor that clocked at a speed of 1.8GHz + 1.6GHz respectively.
It has inbuilt storage of 64GB/128GB with 6GB of RAM and Qualcomm Adreno 509 for graphics. The Moto P30 Play has a lower Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset with an octa-core clocking at a speed of 2.0GHz along with 4GB of RAM. It has an internal memory of 64GB which is still expandable using micro SD card. It has Qualcomm Adreno 506 graphics card and the processor is built with 14nm just like the later. Booting the phones are Android 8.1 Oreo operating system.

Both the Moto P30 and the Moto P30 play are powered by a nonremovable battery capacity of 3000mAh with fast charging technology. They also have USB Type C cable with OTG and for Connectivity, they support 4G LTE network with Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi and other regulars. On the price, the Motorola P30 will cost around $310, while the Motorola P30 Play will sell at a price of $292
