In anticipation of news about the still unknown Nokia 9, which is expected to be the spearhead of the Finnish house in the future, HDM Global is working to renew some of its devices in the range. One of these is the Nokia 8.1, which looks like an updated device compared to the Nokia 8 and has just made its appearance on Geekbench.
Nokia 8.1 appears in preview on Geekbench: it will be the first smartphone of the house to go out with Android 9.0 Pie
The new Nokia 8.1, recently emerged on the popular benchmarking platform before the official launch, was discovered for the first time by the AndroidPure magazine. The list published by Geekbench, reveals the features of the mid-range device, which will be sold with Android 9.0 Pie, which means that it will be the first device of the Finnish manufacturer to be launched with the latest version of the green robot.
Regarding what is under the hood, the Nokia 8.1 should be “powered” with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 10-nanometer midband CPU, with a base frequency of 1.7GHz and accompanied by 4GB of RAM. These are the info currently available on the configuration, which still does not know precise details on the display, cameras, battery capacity and the rest.
The official launch date is still unknown. All that remains is to wait for more official news about Nokia 8.1 from HMD Global. The appearance of the device on a platform like Geekbench, however, is usually a sign that the launch could take place shortly, possibly a few weeks later. Stay tuned for more updates!
