Nokia X6 is ready to also land on international markets. The global launch is expected to start in Hong Kong on 19 July and then continue in the West, including Europe. The laptop, which debuted in China in May, is characterized by the presence of a “notch” and the Face Unlock feature, which allows it to compete with great rivals such as Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro.
The big news of the global version of the Nokia X6 is represented primarily by the change of name: the phone, in fact, will be called Nokia 6.1 Plus. It will probably be the only major variation, given that the laptop will almost certainly the same design and the same hardware structure as the standard device. The new model will therefore have a 5.8-inch display (with the “notch”, as mentioned before) and a Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor. The only possible change, in addition to the name, could concern the software: Nokia 6.1 Plus, in fact, could arrive with Android One, just like the Nokia 6 (2018) presented at the Mobile World Congress 2018 that took place in Barcelona last month of February.
It is still unclear whether HMD Global, the Finnish company that develops mobile devices under the “Nokia” brand, plans to launch the Nokia 6.1 Plus in global markets after its arrival in Hong Kong, although it seems very likely. From Finland, there was no news even on the price.
Nokia X6 is running Android 8.1 Oreo and features a 5.8-inch 5.8-inch (1080 × 2280 pixels) full-HD display. It is also powered by a Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor, combined with up to 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of integrated memory expandable via microSD card (up to 256 GB). On the back is a dual camera, which includes a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel monochrome sensor with an aperture f / 2.0 and an LED flash. On the front, we find a 16-megapixel sensor with f / 2.0 aperture. In addition, the model contains a 3060 mAh battery.
