OnePlus 3 Mini lands GFXBench, sporting 4.6″ Display, 6GB RAM

An unknown device rumored to be the OnePlus 3 Mini has been spotted on popular benchmarking website, GFXBench revealing some stunning details about the device which looks like a trimmed down version of the OnePlus. This might just turn out to be a rumor, as OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei has come out to refute the rumor of a OnePlus 3 Mini in the offing via his Twitter handle (@getpeid).

Recall, OnePlus launched the OnePlus 3 premium flagship phone with affordable price tag few months back and the device’s production output isn’t even meeting up the demands.

According to the GFXBench listing, the device features a compact 4.6-inch display with 1080p resolution. The device also features 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage and quite surprisingly, it features the high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset with Adreno 530 GPU. Are we looking at a flagship with 4.6-inch display here?

The camera setup listed to be on the device looks more or less like a replica of the OnePlus 3. The OnePlus 3 Mini is listed to sport a 16-megapixel rear camera unit and a good 8-megapixel front facing shooter.

The GFXBench records actually listed the device as “Unknown” but we were able to detect its probably a OnePlus device because of the CynaogenMod which the OnePlus One was known to feature.

However this isn’t the first time we are getting rumors of a Mini version of the OnePlus smartphone, as the OnePlus 2 was embroiled in such rumors in the past but in the end there wasn’t any OnePlus 2 Mini instead we got the OnePlus X. So we just have to take this with a pinch of salt. It’s already been refuted as false anyway but then the  refutal could be a ploy to keep up the suspense.
