And it already has three smartphones to its name. The Oppo A1 was released around March, which was followed up by Oppo A3 in April. And now we have the Oppo A5.
The new smartphone was released quietly by the Chinese company. It sports a similar design with its predecessor, the Oppo A3. And also the Oppo Realme 1, which was released to the Indian market. Below is a detailed comparison between the new Oppo A5 and the Oppo Realme 1.
Oppo A5 VS Oppo Realme 1 – The Design
The design pattern of the Oppo A5 is the same as the Oppo Realme 1. They both feature triangular-cut pattern like in crystal form at the back. The Oppo A5 features a top-notch display while the Realme 1 doesn’t. Both phones don’t have a rear mounted fingerprint sensor. Oppo is trying to push their own face to unlock system to the world.
The rear camera of both phones is arranged at the top left corner. The Oppo A5 sports a dual rear camera while the Oppo Realme 1 sports a single rear camera. The Oppo A5 weighs 168 grams compared to the 155 grams of the Oppo Realme 1. In terms of sleek, the Oppo Realme 1 measures 7.8 mm in thickness. Whereas, the Oppo A5 measures 8.2 mm.

The Oppo Realme 1 features a better display than the Oppo A5. The Realme 1 sports a 6.0 inches screen size with 78.9 screen-to-body ratios. The display comes with a 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution, an 18:9 aspect ratio and 402 PPI density. Whereas, the Oppo A5 packs a 6.2 inches screen size, 19:9 aspect ratio, 720 x 1520 pixels and 271 pixels per inch density.

The Oppo A5 is equipped with a dual rear camera, which features a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. The primary sensor features a f/2.2 aperture. While the secondary sensor features a f/2.4 aperture. The phone comes with an 8MP selfie shooter and f/2.2 aperture.
The Oppo Realme 1 on the other hand, features a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture. While at the front, it sports an 8MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture. The only difference between the Oppo A5 and Realme 1 is the additional 2MP secondary camera featured on the Oppo A5.

Under the hood of the Oppo Realme 1 is a MediaTek Helio P60 chipset. The MediaTek chipset packs an Octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz and Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. Whereas, under the hood of the Oppo A5 is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset. The chipset comes with an Octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz and Adreno 506 GPU.
The Oppo A5 runs on ColorOS 5.1 skin, which is placed on top Android 8.1 Oreo. Whereas, the Oppo Realme 1 runs on ColorOS 5.0 skin with Android 8.1 Oreo. The Oppo Realme 1 is available in three memory options; 3GB, 4GB, and 6GB. Whereas, the Oppo A5 is only available in a 4GB memory option.
