Design

Oppo F7

It’s an Oppo smartphone, so I wasn’t expecting much in terms of design. Covered by the same sleek metal material Oppo are known for, as it glows in presence of light. Only a single rear camera sits at the rear with a dual tone LED flash by the side.

Moving further, there’s a rear fingerprint scanner here, which the company failed to put in the A1 smartphone. The device will be a pleasure to hold and flaunt, measuring just 7.8 mm in thickness and weighing 158g. In terms of coloring, you can get it in Black, Silver and Red colors.

Display

Oppo F7

I think by now it’s more difficult to choose which OEM is more obsessed with the iPhone X-like display, between Vivo and Oppo. The F7 came along with the trending feature, while the bottom bezel came out to play a little bit. The top-notch is minimal as well, housing the usual features like the AI 25MP selfie camera and others.

The 6.23-inch FHD+ LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen is totally impressive and stunning. Boasting of 1080 x 2280 pixels and 405 pixel per inch density, displaying immersive visuals and bringing out your movies and games. The bezel-less screen on the Oppo F7 stretches up to 82.70% screen to body ratio.

Hardware and Software

Working underneath is the MediaTek Helio P60 MT6771 chipset with Octa-core processor and 64-bit CPU architecture. The 8-cores of processor runs impressively at 2.0GHz and boasts of a 16nm process technology. The ARM Mali G72 MP3 graphics processor is in charge of graphics, coming with 3-cores and clocking at 800MHz.

There are two versions in terms of RAM and storage space, the standard version comes with 128GB storage and 6GB RAM, while the cheaper variant packs 64GB storage and 4GB RAM. Both RAM space reaches a memory speed of 1.8GHz, while the storage space is upgradeable up to 256GB. The smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with ColorOS 5.0 skin.

Camera

Oppo F7

The highlight of the Oppo F7 is the 25MP selfie shooter on the top-notch. The Sony IMX576 Exmor RS selfie camera has f/2.0 aperture, PDAF Focus and Face Recognition. That’s not all, the selfie camera has Artificial Intelligence technology, which the company called a “Smart Selfie Camera”. At the rear, the 13MP rear camera has a f/1.8 aperture, comes with a dual tone LED flash and captures photographs with 4608 x 3456 pixels in dimension.
