Oppo K1 has just been launched in China as Oppo’s first series of smartphones in the K family. We expect it to be on sale as from October 19th 2018. Thereabouts, it may also launch on October 21st in Europe. As revealed, the unique selling point of Oppo K1 is the presence of an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Design and Display of Oppo K1
The primary feature in this device is the display and that starts with the screen which 6.4 inches Full HD+ AMOLED display. As such, it is perfect for anything anyone would love to do on a mobile phone screen. It has a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a waterdrop notch. In view of this, the smartphone is able to achieve the 91 percent screen to body ratio.
Oppo K1 comes in Van Gogh Blue and Mocha Read colors.
For the camera department, Oppo K1 comes with 16 MP plus 2 MP dual rear cameras. These feature f/1.7, 1/2.8 depth sensor, LED flash, HDR, Panorama and more. The video performance is 2160p@30fps, and 1080p@30fps.
For the selfie camera, there is a single snapper of 25 MP which features HDR capacity. In the same vein, it can capture 1080p@30fps videos.
Hardware and Software in Oppo K1
This device is powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon SDM660 (14 nm) AIE chipset. In addition, it is based on Android 8.1 Oreo which will update to the latest Android if the user wants. The CPU found herein is Octa-Core (4×2.0 GHz Kryo 260 & 4×1.8 GHz Kryo 260. This combo ensures that the mobile smartphone is fast. For graphics, there is Adreno 512.
There is the internal memory of 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. Then there is the variant of 6GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. Both come at different prices. There is no provision for a microSD card slot.
Network and Connectivity
Oppo K1 is fully fortified when it comes to network connectivity. It is able to handle 2G (GSM), 3G (CDMA and HSPA) and 4G (LTE). The Wi-Fi properties found in it are as well standard, consisting of Wi-Fi Direct and mobile hotspot.
Other connectivity features are Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, A-GPS, no FM radio support, but there’s microUSB 2.0 and USB On-The-Go.
Battery Life Oppo K1
Things are made simple here as the Oppo K1 is powered by a non-removable Li-Ion 3500 mAh battery which lacks fast charging technology.
Price and Availability
Oppo K1 is the cheapest smartphone with an in-display fingerprint scanner at the moment. The price for the variants go below Rs 20,000 or 2,000 Yuan. For the 4GB/64GB the price is approximately Rs 17,000 and for the 6GB/64GB, the price is Rs 19,200 approximately.
The Oppo K1 is right now exclusive to China at the moment. The pre order for it begins today and it will be open for sale on October 19 2018
