The mini-console is now a trend, and Sony has evidently decided to ride it by announcing the PlayStation Classic.
It is a mini-console, like the previous Neo Geo Mini, SNK and SNES and NES of Nintendo, but obviously based on the first PlayStation. In appearance, it will follow in all respects the original console, but small – about 80% smaller in volume. As for the controllers, however, it seems to have retained its original dimensions.
PlayStation Classic: the return of PS1
PlayStation Classic will arrive with twenty pre-installed games, among the most iconic. Currently Sony has not yet released the complete list, however, it has already revealed that there will be titles like Final Fantasy VII, R4: Ridge Racer Type 4, Jumping Flash!, Tekken 3 and Wild Arms.
In the package users will find, in addition to the console, two controllers, a USB cable for charging, and an HDMI cable to connect it to the TV or a screen.
The market launch is scheduled for December 3, 2018, at a price of 99.99 euros.
