Lately, we have seen Xiaomi roll out Android 10 stable updates to phones like the Redmi 7 and Redmi Note 7 series in China. The next phone to join that list is the OnePlus 8 as the company has rolled out an Android 10 stable update to the Redmi 8 in China.
Downloading the update will cost you 2.05 GB and it comes with the latest June 2020 security patch from the company. The update has the build number MIUI 22.214.171.124 QCNCNXM in China and we expect a global version to be not very far off.
Xiaomi has built quite a reputation at being slow to deliver updates to its smartphones especially compared to MIUI. As a matter of fact, the company has even hit an all-time bad in the delivery of updates so far this year.
Even though the company launched phones like the Redmi 7, Redmi 7A, Redmi Note 7, and Redmi Note 7 Pro over a year ago, the company has only just begun to roll out Android 10 updates to these devices. Even worse, the glover versions are yet to receive an update.
