Redmi Note 7 is the first smartphone “born” after the division from the main company and the creation of the sub-brand. The goal of this split was to distance the other Xiaomi Mi smartphones from the medium-low end market, which was to be Redmi’s prerogative.

However, it seems that the new brand will also launch a high-end device with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor (Redmi 7, which will be presented on March 18), but in the meantime, the software team has also found time to work and start launching a new MIUI update on the device.

The update will bring the smartphone to MIUI and is reserved for those who are currently running the global version of the software. Clearly, users who purchased the device even ten days ago will be delighted to see that Redmi has already made a software update available.

Okay, it won’t be an update with who knows what extraordinary novelties: they are to mention, in particular, the inclusion of an “advanced low light mode” for the camera, a promise that Xiaomi had made and maintained. In the MIUI camera app, the user will have access to the new Super Night Scene mode that was launched with Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 and then switched to POCO F1, Mi 8 and other devices. The user who has not yet received the notification of the OTA update (always a few days, ed) can proceed with the manual verification of the update.

Another Redmi phone could also be interested in important news very soon. We are talking about Redmi 6 Pro, which in January received a beta version of MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie and which could finally receive the stable version in the coming weeks. Among the many new features, there is one that has emerged in a screenshot and that already teases the users a lot: it is the possibility of enabling the VoLTE functionality on the secondary SIM slot. The function is currently in the “testing” phase but could be included in the next update.
