Everything indicates that we are very close to the official announcement of Galaxy J2 Pro (2018), Samsung’s next intermediate device. Two very interesting materials about the model were leaked on the web of recent. The first of these is the gadget’s official instruction manual, which although it does not provide details about the hardware, confirms that the body will be plastic and that both the back cover and the battery will be removable (a classic feature for mobile phones of that level).
The document also reveals that the operating system will be Android 7.1.1 Nougat, properly dressed with the Samsung Experience interface. Unfortunately, as an affordable device, J2 Pro (2018) will not feature market-leading technologies such as dual camera, virtual buttons (in place of physical retrograde) or fingerprint reader. Also, the question remains whether the device will be upgraded to Google’s OS Oreo version 8.0.
In addition to the manual, some renderings from a plastic case manufacturer were also leaked. Although they are not true product photos, the images give us a good idea of what to expect about the J2 Pro (2018) design: following the line of top-of-the-line Samsung handsets, the model will have thinner side edges, of the screen. Despite this, the upper and lower edges remain large and disproportionate to the whole set.
According to previous rumors, the device will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset and 1.5 GB of RAM. In its first leaks, the next generation of J2 was known as J2 Pro (2017); however, as we are already at the end of the year, it is unlikely that the South Korean phone maker will reveal the novelty in time to maintain this nomenclature. Soon, the device, J2 Pro (2018) should hit the market along with the Galaxy S9.
