Note: The Settings Of the Edge Panel Lighting may vary depending on the software your Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is running, as well as the service provider you’re on. Edge Panel Lighting does not work with third-party apps, at least for now.

Setting Up Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Edge Panel Lighting

  • Open the apps drawer and Click on the Settings App.
  • Search For Edge Lighting And Click on it.

  • Toggle the Switch/Slider to Enable the feature.

If you would like to turn off this feature at a later time, you can follow the steps above and Toggle the Switch/Slide to the Left. You can also choose when the edge panel lighting will be on. You have three options – Show Edge lighting when the screen is on, Show Edge lighting when the screen is off and Always.

Customizing Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Edge Panel Lighting

Like I said earlier, you can customize the Edge Panel Lighting the way you want. All you have to do is to follow the steps below.

  • Open the Settings Apps and Search for Edge Lighting.
  • Click on it and Select Edge Lighting Style.

  • From here you can Customize the following:

  • Effects: You have Basic, Multicolor, Glow, and Glitter effects to choose from. (Note: If you choose Glitter, the color option will not be available)

  • Color: You change the color for the Edge Lightning or Change it for a particular app.

  • Transparency: You can set the transparency from high to low.

  • Width: Choose with Narrow or wide.

  • After customizing the above settings to your taste, you can now click on APPLY to effect the changes. You can also click on Manage Notifications in the Edge Lightning section to set which apps get affected by the Edge Panel Lightning.
