UMi will soon launch their new device, the UMi Rome X, an entry-level smartphone which will surprise users because of its amazing design. Typically, budget smartphones are characterized by a rough design and being too thick and ugly, so they are not stylish nor feel comfortable in the hand. Most users would like to have a good-looking entry-level phone, but this feeling have been ignored repeatedly by phone makers. Fortunately, UMi, in their quest to be one of the leading brands on today’s market, decided to bring the premium design and experience into entry-level phones as well, and, for this reason, they are launching UMi Rome X, the slimmest entry-level phone.


UMi Rome X will feature a 7.9-millimeter frame, being even thinner than the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, which incorporates an 8.5mm frame. One the other hand, the Xiaomi Redmi 2, one of the most successful low-end devices, has a 9.4mm thickness. As we can see, there’s a 2.5mm difference between both phones.
Moreover, UMi Rome X metal frame will be made of polished stainless steel, which is extremely lightweight and rugged at the same time. On the other hand, low-end devices as the Xiaomi Redmi 2 are fabricated in plastic. Nevertheless, despites having similar specifications, Xiaomi Redmi 2 costs $109.99, while UMi Rome X will cost only $49.99. As we have seen, Xiaomi device costs almost twice than the UMi Rome X, being Rome X not only 2.5mm thinner, but also having a metal frame, which provides durability and contributes to offer a premium feel.
