Since iPhone X launches with a special 3D sensor to unlock face detection – many manufacturers start integrating this unlocking system in their device, especially Android devices. Finally, according to actual reports – the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chip supports a multi-faceted scanning detector.

This means that users can register more than one face in one device for convenience together. For example, a father and a child or husband and wife are no secret to each other. The number of registered faces is still unknown.

Qualcomm additionally – this functionality is only for Snapdragon 845 main class chips and not on other chips like Snapdragon 835 or Snapdragon 660. So far, devices with the Snapdragon 845 we’ve tried – still no longer have this support. It may be present in the upcoming update as Apple does for iPhone X in iOS 12.
