It is expected that Sony Xperia 2 is going to launch at the upcoming IFA 2019 trade show in Berlin. It is to be noted that the company's Sony Xperia 2 predecessor i.e. Sony Xperia 1 was launched at MWC 2019.
But before the official launch, some leaks including live images and live press renders of the smartphone has been spotted. Sony will hold its IFA 2019 press conference on 5th September 2019 at 1 PM CEST and for the Indian tech lovers, the time is 4:30 PM (IST).
Sony Xperia 2 Leaked Specs
Recently, the press renders of the Sony Xperia 2 has been spotted on a German publication WinFuture.de, which clearly indicates the flagship-level specs. The smartphone has been spotted in Red color variant but the publication has also mentioned that the phone will be available in black and blue color too.
According to WinFuture.de, the name of the smartphone i.e. Sony Xperia 2 cannot be considered as fixed because past leaks depict that the company can also introduce the successor of Sony Xperia 1 in the name of Xperia 1 Compact.
According to sources, The phone will feature a 6.1-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1080x2520. You are also going to find the same 21:9 super-tall aspect ratio of the Sony Xperia 1 smartphone. The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 855 SoC chipset along with up to 6GB of RAM and 128 GB internal storage.
Moving on to the camera department, the leaked live images and the renders of the smartphone show that the will sport a triple camera setup consisting of a 12MP primary sensor, a wide-angle lens, and a 2x optical zooming sensor. The fingerprint sensor is mounted at the rear side. You are also going to find a dedicated camera button, a USB Type-C port, and a bottom-firing speaker.
